Zoot Suit

Zoot Suit: This play from the assembly of the National Theatre Company of Mexico talks about the conflict of racism and intolerance suffered by Mexicans and Latinos in Los Angeles, California, during the 40’s.

This musical work of Luis Valdez, inspired by the murder trial Sleepy Lagoon and the confrontation between North American police and young Mexican guys in the USA in the 40’s, calls attention to discrimination against Latinos in the United States.

Zoot Suit was released in Los Angeles in 1978 and today is the highest grossing work presented in that city. Such was it success that in 1979 became the first play to reach Broadway.

Churches, by santiago cifuentes 8c

In this churches you can see how the religion is an essential part of our culture, it lets us see how beautiful are the churches and how that works are made for God. This churches are popular, the people go there often to pray, watching the beautiful sculptures on it and feeling an special connection with God. These churches's purpose is to help the community with their relationship with God, letting them know God is with us, forgiving them the sins comitted if they are truthly retreatfull and sharing the lessons of the bible and Jesus to make each person's connection with God better, the people that go pay the "diezmo" that is a 10th percent of the salary they win to "God" that's how this churches are maintained.

I visited the San Ambrosio church, the Su Presencia christian church (which seems as a theater but is a church because they don't use simbology) the Murmons church and Santa Beatriz's church (which was closed).

There are such differences in each church religion, there are evangelic churches (like this one below), there are catholic, there are of The Saints of The Last Days like in the church of the murmons (the one with a golden angel with a trumpet).
This churches differ in the way the worship God, for example in the catholic churches they do the "mass" which consist on steps like praying, repeating what the cleric says, eating the bread and the wine etc, in the christian churches is totally different, there is no mass but cult, with worshiping time through some musicians that thank God, there is personal praying time, the time where the pastor gives the daily lesson, a complete harmony to improve our union to God, and in the Saints of The Last Days also make cult, but is different and those churches are more privatizated and only the people who belong to that religion type can be involved with the cults and its development, so that's somehow "secret".
The religion is a path to achieve God, you may choose the right path that your heart indicates to be with God, so be selective, think in the way how evangelic christianic churches do not repeat like robots prays but worship God in a more sincere and active way.

The botanic garden, by santiago cifuentes 8c

The botanic garden is a cientific center in charge of investigating the flora aspects, all about the plants and animals that interact and affect them, it has a large amount of plants and most of the biodiversity in the country, it has so much variety of cactus, it has a lot of plants from many different places as shown in the photos, like the rain forest and the swamps, it has guiders that helps us to understand every certain aspect in the different ecosystems.
It has also an special section, the butterfly season, as shown in the photos they had a lot of different types dead, and some living showing hoe they interact affect plants, captured in the videos.
It had an special expensive but efficient and ecological system of solar panels that maintained the different types of environments of the plants, being friendly with the environment, we should learn about this teschniques to e friends of the environment and plants, which helps us to survive with the photosynthetic process that the guides of the botanic garden explained; it consists on the plants gathering nutrients from the soil and "breathing" CO2 and expulsing oxygen.
In conclusion, the botanic garden is a very good way to preservate all type of plants, to research and make experiments about them to advance in flora knowledge, is also a great way to teach Bogotans to know more about our plants, how do they interact with animals, how to preservate our environment and be ecological friendly so this botanic garden is essencial and improves and somehow improves our life!
